Deck the mall with lots of shopping at Patrick Henry Mall along Jefferson Avenue. Kids can meet Santa and snap a photo with the jolly guy himself, while you shop popular stores like Bath & Body Works, Claire’s, and more. Plus, start a new snuggly tradition at Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Jingle all the way up the road to open-air Jefferson Commons to score deals at Home Goods, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy, and J.Crew Factory. Remember to pick up a signature ham or turkey from Honey Baked Ham Co. after your day of shopping in Newport News, Va.

When you get hungry, both mall locations feature quick-service and sit-down restaurants everyone in your crew will love.

Historic Hilton Village

Looking for a Hallmark Christmas movie vibe? Stroll and shop along the charming streets in this quaint, historic district reminiscent of an English neighborhood. The Historic Hilton Village, located on the east bank of the James River, is a must if you’re searching for a unique mix of artisan marketplaces, boutiques, and restaurants. Peruse vintage items at Eclectic Treasures and shop for your crystal-loving friend at Styx and Stones. Make a pit stop at Indulge Bakery and Bistro, serving breakfast and lunch, as well as coffee and tea drinks.

The shopping district will light up with its annual Hilton Village Gingerbread Celebration and Parade, which takes place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. Experience the magic of the season with a gingerbread house contest, festive children's activities, delicious food and treats, and cheerful live music.
